Alternative Activities for Educational Workshops

Students will be granted the three credits that are generally obtained by attending a regular workshop, also joining one of the following activities:

  • participation in all the lectures scheduled in a set of seminars, organized by the faculty members of the Department. The students are also requested to prepare a written report (minimum 10,000 - maximum 15,000 characters, including spaces) to be submitted to the professor in charge of the initiative;
  • participation in a multi-day scientific meeting organized by faculty members of the Department. The students are also requested to prepare a written report (minimum 10,000 - maximum 15,000 characters, including spaces) to be submitted to the professor in charge of the initiative.
  • Award of credits for Additional Language Skills through proficiency assessment in a second language (French, Spanish or German), excluding the compulsory 3 ECTS credits for the English Language Proficiency Assessment (B1 level) already included in the degree programme regulations.
  • For students enrolled up to and including the 2019/20 academic year, award of the 3 ECTS credits for the Computer Science Course, already included among the additional educational activities for students enrolled from the 2020/21 academic year onwards.
  • Participation in other workshop-based activities offered by the University for which the Academic Board has approved credit recognition.

The list of activities eligible for credit recognition, all of which fall within the categories described above, is set out below.

PLEASE NOTE: The registration procedures for these activities are specified in the relevant activity descriptions and are entirely independent of the degree programme. Students are therefore advised to consider the relevant deadlines and procedures when planning their participation.

Request for recognition of educational activities undertaken outside the University

Participation in seminars, conferences and training programmes held outside the University may be recognised as an alternative workshop-based activity, provided that they address philosophical topics relevant to the professional profiles associated with the degree programme (Human Resources Development and Management Officer, Editorial Assistant, Cultural Operator, and Press and External Communications Assistant).

The educational activity must comprise at least 36 hours.

Students must provide a certificate of attendance issued by the organisers of the initiative, specifying both the topics covered and the number of hours completed.

Applications for credit recognition must be submitted through the InformaStudenti service. Students are advised to pay close attention to submission deadlines, as a decision on the application generally requires at least 60 days.
